Singer-Songwiriter

Greg Irwin began his singing career at age seven singing the part of the donkey in his elementary school Christmas concert. Having an older brother and sister who were both singers meant that Greg was expected to sing too. As a child, Greg was the last to perform at family gatherings after his brother Richard and sister Sharon had finished entertaining the relatives.

"Music is the key to happiness in my life." These are the words that Greg wrote in his high school report on his plans for the future. Active in musical groups thoughout high school, Greg received a voice scholarship to the University of Wisconsin. It was there that he landed the part of Jesus in the musical Godspell. His first singing job was in the Medora Musical, a nightly summer extravaganza, held in an amphitheater in Teddy Rosevelt National Park. The show opened with a team of horses pulling a stagecoach on stage and ended with fireworks. When the summer ended, Greg decided to make a career in music.

Greg sang in musicals and musical reviews until coming to Japan. Unable to find a way into the Japanese musical scene, Greg started off singing in clubs and for recordings. It was during this time that Greg was asked to translate and sing the musical genre of Doyo.
And as they say, the rest is history.
